Free Fall Preschool Printables: 8 No-Prep Pages for Ages 3 to 5

Fall is my favorite season to learn at the kitchen table. The leaves are crunchy, the pumpkins are everywhere, and little ones are already fascinated by what they see outside. So I made a set of eight free fall preschool printables that put all of that wonder to work on real early skills.
What you get
This 8-page printable pack includes:
- Alphabet tracing: Aa apple and Pp pumpkin (2 pages)
- Fall shape matching (1 page)
- Count to 5 with leaves, acorns, apples (1 page)
- Cut and paste: count and match (1 page)
- Cut and paste: beginning letters (1 page)
- Fall pattern strips (1 page)
- Scissor practice with fall pictures (1 page)
All pages are US Letter (8.5 x 11 inches) PDFs. Print as many copies as you need for your own children or classroom.
Why it works for ages 3 to 5
Young learners do best with one clear task per page, bold pictures and plenty of room to move a crayon. Nothing here is crowded, timed or graded. The point of Free Fall Preschool Printables is to give your child small, repeatable wins that grow letter formation and confidence together. When a page feels easy, move on; when it feels hard, put it away for a week and try again, because early learning is not a race.
A simple 15-minute routine
Set a timer for fifteen minutes. Spend the first few minutes talking about the page: what do you see, what do you think we will do? Spend the middle minutes on the activity itself while you sit close and cheer. Use the last minutes to admire the finished work and hang it on the fridge. Ending with pride is the secret to wanting to come back tomorrow.
How to use it
Print the pages on plain white copy paper. Start with the two tracing pages, Aa for apple and Pp for pumpkin. Have your child say the letter sound, point to the picture, and then trace the big dashed letter with a crayon before moving to the guide lines. Next, do the shape match and the counting page together; a finger on each leaf as you count out loud is the best trick I know. Save the cut and paste pages for a calm moment when a glue stick sounds fun.
Skills covered
Free Fall Preschool Printables supports letter formation, shape recognition, counting to 5, scissor skills, patterns. Each page uses large, clear line art and dashed tracing so a young child can understand what to do without much explaining.
Tips from my table
If your child is brand new to scissors, begin with the straight cutting lines page and praise every snip. Fold the cut-and-paste pages in half first so the strip is easy to grip. Do one or two pages a day instead of the whole set; short and happy beats long and tired at this age.
